What are people saying about Remington Acres

I am so blessed to have found this place! It's such a wonderful contribution to animals, people, and our community! My kids and I absolutely love it. Here is a place where there is no judgment, no color and tons of love, compassion and redemption. It's therapeutic for horses and people alike. Of course their is plenty work to be done but if you leave a little bit of your heart there, it's a wonderful labor of love and the payoff is well worth it and we want to be a part of it!

Some of our horses arrive at Remington Acres in need of great care and nurture. Here are some of our amazing horses on their way to recovery.

Remington and Riley

Remington Acres Equine Services, was founded on the memory of two very special Thoroughbreds, Remington and Riley. Both of them came to us as retired race horses. Remington was 13 and Riley only 8. Both of them had physical and emotional wounds. Some healed while some remained very much aching. We made them as comfortable as possible. Treated the visible aches and pains. Helped them gain badly needed weight, gave them care for badly neglected hooves, provided supplements for aching joints. Most of all we gave them love and time to rest. What we gave to them is so little when compared to what they gave to us. Friendship, companionship and loyalty like we never felt before. Remington was able to spend one more year of being nothing other than a horse. Riley only had eight months before crossing over the rainbow bridge, leaving us forever changed. It is in their memory that we commit to help as many abused and neglected equines as we possibly can. To give them the love and affection that Remington and Riley showed us.
